Lake Champlain
Lake Champlain
Lake Chaplain is a natural freshwater lake that played a significant role in the assault of Fort Ticonderoga during the Revolutionary War. Its border lies between Vermont, New York, and across the Canada-U.S Border. The Chaplain Valley is divided into Clifton County and Essex County.
In 1775, the American forces were able to secure the Lake Champlain waterway after taking control of Fort Ticonderoga.
