Lexington Common National Historic Site

1625 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA


The Lexington Common National Historic Site is also known as the Lexington Battle Green. The site used to be a training ground for militiamen.  The historical landmark is remembered for the opening shots that started the Revolutionary War.

The Battle Green today is considered a national public park that features several memorials, including the iconic statue of Captain John Parker.
