Thomas Edison's Fort Myers Laboratory
Christie St, Dearborn, MI
Thomas Edison's Fort Myers Laboratory was a joint-venture with car manufacturer magnate Henry Ford back in 1927 to tackle the dependence of America on rubber in foreign countries. Unfortunately, after years of research and study of over 17,000 plant samples, the experiment never came to fruition thanks to synthetic rubber.
Thomas Edison's Fort Myers Laboratory can be found inside the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn, Michigan.
