President Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of the United States, died on February 3, 1924. He had suffered a massive stroke in 1919 that left him partially paralyzed on his left side.  Also in 1919 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. His gravesite is located in Washington National Cathedral at 3101 Wisconsin Avenue NW. He is the only president to have a Ph.D. and the only president to be buried in Washington.
