Thomas Jefferson Graveyard Site Monticello
931 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, Virginia
President Thomas Jefferson was assumed to have died of natural causes at the age of 83 and only a few hours ahead of his dear friend John Adams’ demise. Their death is seen as an honor for the two great leaders and Founding Fathers of the nation as it falls on the nation’s celebration of its Independence. His grave lies at the Thomas Jefferson Gravesite, Monticello Graveyard in the Jefferson Family Estate. Jefferson’s last words were “No doctor, nothing more.” He wanted to be remembered as the “Author of the Declaration of Independence, Father of the University of Virginia, and Author of the Statue of Virginia for Religious Freedom.”
