Madison Family Cemetery at Madison's Montpelier Estate 

James Madison was laid to rest with a small gathering of family, friends, and slaves at the family estate.  His gravesite is located in the Madison Family Cemetery, at Madison’s Montpelier Estate, Montpelier Station, Virginia.
