George Ross House Site
320 East Ross Street Lancaster, Pennsylvania
George Ross was born on the 10th of May 1730 at New Castle, Delaware. He became an attorney and practiced his profession at Lancaster County in Philadelphia.
His home in Lancaster is located at on the east side of the Ross Street Methodist Church. The house was demolished in 1894. In its place, a seven-foot monument was built and inscribed: "Here Stood the House of George Ross Signer of the Declaration of Independence Born 1730; Died 1779 Lawyer : Stateman : Patriot.
