Announcing the "My historic year" 2023 photo contest

"Show off your Historic Fourth!” photo contest – Terms and Conditions
 

1. Agreement to Official Rules: By submitting a photo, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to the Official Rules and warrants that his or her entry complies with all requirements set out in the Official Rules.
2. Contest Period: You may submit your photos beginning July 1, 2022 at midnight Eastern Time. All entries must be received by July 8, 2022 at midnight Eastern time.
3. How to Enter: 
   • Upload your photo to one of your social media accounts and tag #TheHistoryList / @TheHistoryList. 
   • Then take a photo or screenshot of the post that shows that tag and submit it here.
   • The photo must be an original creation - no copyrighted images may be used.
   • The participant must certify and warrant that the submitted photo(s) does not violate the rights of a third party or any copyright. The History List is not responsible for intellectual property violations that might have resulted through the submissions of photos.
   • There is no limit on the number of photos that can be submitted.
4. Rights and ownership: By submitting your photos to The History List, you agree to grant The History List free of charge the right to use the photo in any manner and media, including without limitation, the right to publish, adapt, distribute, copy, display or translate in printed or electronic media even if they are not the winning entries.
5. Release and Limitations of Liability: By submitting your photos, you agree that The History List shall not be responsible or liable for, and is hereby released from, any and all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, without limitation, death and bodily injury, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity, or from entrants’ acceptance and/or use of any prize. Everyone pictured must have given you their consent for photos of them to appear online. (In the case of kids, that means parents or guardians.)
6. Winner Selection: Winner/s will be determined by The History List and will be notified through email the week of July 11, 2022. If a participant is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so, we reserve the right to offer the prize to the next best entry.
7. Prize: The winner —or winners, will get a $76 gift certificate to The History List store.
8. General Conditions: The History List reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest or any of the arrangements, schedules, plans or other items directly or indirectly related to the contest, at any time and for any reason if deems necessary.

The personal information provided to The History List by the participants shall only be used for the purposes of this contest.
