We are kicking of April School PLAYCation week in Lowell with a free, fun day exploring the Boott Cotton Mills Museum and the Tsongas Industrial History Center. Stop by the Tsongas Industrial History Center, located on the 3rd floor of the Boott Cotton Mills Museum, on Saturday, April 15th any time from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for our monthly Your City Saturday event. Join Lowell National Historical Park and the Tsongas Industrial History Center for an afternoon of hands-on history!

You can think like an engineer in our design, build, and test challenge. Time travel and explore and handle objects that immigrants brought with them to Lowell and think about your own family story by creating a story scroll to take home. You can even try your hand at carding, spinning, and weaving and learn about how cloth was made by hand!

This event is a drop-by any time program for the whole family. It is also a Free Admission day to the Boott Cotton Mills Museum, so make a whole day of it and explore the working weave room and museum exhibits with your family too!
