In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Revolution, the Iron Work Farm launches the first event in our family-friendly series on Colonial Life with a hands-on activity about how fibers were grown and processed before being made into clothing.  Activities will include planting flax for linen cloth, exploring the world of wool, and the processing of fibers.

Through interactive activities, the year-long living history series will explore Acton's transition from an agriculturally based economy to cottage industry to industrialization, comparing work and leisure from colonial America to the present day.
