A walk-&-stop presentation along the scenic coastal shore of Marblehead's Little Harbor, where the earliest settlement began, discussing how larger events in England and New England impacted the development of Marblehead. Led by social, cultural & architectural historian Judy Anderson. - Suggest a harbor-side lunch & a visit to Marblehead's Abbot Hall (Spirit of '76 painting, portraits of national figures, WPA murals, and other exhibits - open 10-5 pm) & a tour of the Jeremiah Lee Mansion (1766-68) afterward (last tour by 3 pm)(MarbleheadMuseum.org). - Visit Marblehead's Old Burying Ground on the rocky Burial Hill en route back to your car.
