Visit the Worcester Art Museum on the Next “Van Go” Bus Trip
Bristol Art Museum and Linden Place will travel to Worcester on Thursday. March 16th to visit the world-renowned collections of the Worcester Art Museum
Bristol Art Museum and Linden Place Mansion continue to collaborate on their successful monthly “Van-Go” Museum Trips. Enjoy an opportunity to sit back, relax and depart from Bristol for door-door service to a museum. A luxury coach is used, with restroom facilities on board, for a comfortable ride. The trip cost is $40 per person plus the cost of museum admission.
On Thursday, March 16, participants have the opportunity to visit the Worcester Art Museum. The Worcester Art Museum is world-renowned for its 35,000-piece collection of paintings, sculpture, decorative arts, photography, prints, drawings and new media. The works span 5,000 years of art and culture. View paintings by Cassatt, Gauguin, Goya, Monet, Sargent and Whistler; admire floor mosaics from the ancient city of Antioch; see cutting-edge contemporary art; and discover the Museum's many other treasures. Special exhibitions showcase the masterworks, seldom-seen gems, and important works on loan.
The bus departs from the municipal parking lot on Thames Street across from the Robin Rug building at 9am and returns at 4pm. To register, please send checks to Bristol Art Museum, P.O. FRIENDS OF LINDEN PLACE is a non-profit organization responsible for the restoration and preservation of Linden Place, an 1810 Federal period mansion located in the center of downtown Bristol, RI. The Linden Place organization offers cultural, artistic, and educational programs in the RI community. The mansion and grounds are open to the public from May through Columbus Day, during the holiday season, or by appointment.
