Dr. Michael Schroder will be the featured speaker at the January 2019 meeting of the CWRT of NH.

From March until May 1864, the Red River in Louisiana was contested. Taking place in the northern part of the state, it featured Massachusetts's own Nathaniel P. Banks against Confederate Richard Taylor. But with a river involved, the navy comes to play.

Mike is a long time member of the RT and a very enthused student of history.

A physicist at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, he's also a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Dessert Storm in 1991, and has been on active duty in the Navy for 14 yrs.

Dr. Schroeder has a BS from the Illinois Institute of Technology, an MS from the University of Illinois and a PhD from the University of Maine.
