Bringing History to Life !

Barnstable Municipal Airport opened in 1928 when the first plane landed on the newly-cleared grassy field.  Nancy Vaill Shoemaker will discuss how the Airport became a center of activity for the Town with barnstorming aerial acrobats delighting crowds on weekends.  Nancy will tell stories of heroism, bootlegging and a ten year old girl who would learn to fly and earn the name "Tailspin".

Doors Open at 6:30 pm

Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the presentation.

Parking is available on street and across the street from the Courthouse at St. Mary's Church
