Join Us for Tea Etiquette!
Join Etiquetteer, Robert B. Dimmick, for an afternoon of tea manners, history, and anecdotes.
Do you ever have “that sinking feeling” in the late afternoon? The Duchess of Bedford, it is said, solved the problem by sending for tea and cakes to be served in her boudoir, thus inventing the meal we now know as afternoon tea. Or did she?
Join Etiquetteer, Robert B. Dimmick, for an afternoon of tea manners, history, and anecdotes, with an elegant tea catered by Vintage Tea & Cake Co. at Prescott House, the Beacon Hill headquarters of the Colonial Dames (NSCDA-MA).
A selection of Prescott House’s collection of historic tea gowns and millinery will also be on display.
*** Please note: There are several steps into the building, however there is an elevator once inside.
