New England Quilt Museum
The Presidential Medallion Quilt Project features 43 small quilts each commemorating a President of the United States. The quilts are made with antique or reproduction fabric appropriate to the period when the president served. The quilts were made by quilt historians from across the US. Two local quilters have quilts in the exhibit: Mary Walter of Southborough and Marjorie Farquharson of Needham. The museum is also exhibiting several antique presidential quilts from the museum collection. The exhibit was curated by noted quilt historian Sue Reich, author of the recently published book, Quilts Presidential and Patriotic.
The museum is wheelchair accessible.
