New Hampshire Heritage Lecture: Triumph and Tragedy at the Castle in the Clouds

A Lake Winnipesaukee estate of more than 6,000 acres, a state-of-the-art 1914 stone mansion on a mountaintop, and the story of the people who built and lived in their very own Castle in the Clouds. This presentation by Charles Clark, executive director of the Castle, will share the fascinating story of Tom and Olive Plant and the estate they created high above Lake Winnipesaukee. The New Hampshire Heritage Lecture series highlights the stories behind the state’s many historic and cultural attractions.

This program is included in the price of admission to the Society. Admission is $7 for adults. Society members and children ages 18 and under are admitted free of charge. Full-time students and active military personnel and their families are also admitted free of charge with a valid ID.
