National Cowboy Day Celebration; Preserving Pioneer Heritage & Cowboy Culture

Homeville Museum, a component of the CNY Living History Center is proud to host our 3rd annual National Day of the Cowboy event--expanding to a full weekend this year. Our special guests, Shadows of the Old West and Ghost Ryders with horses Big Red & Rebel Yell, will provide an educational glimpse of life in the Old West through skits and demonstrations. Doug Corey & his Circle C Chuck Wagon and Cowboy singer Robert Brown will also participate. We’ll have a Chili Cook-off on Saturday with judging at 12:30 pm. Events are fun for all ages and accompanied by Cowboy historians to answer questions about life in the Old West. Food, drink & vendors on site; museum will be open both days.

Cost/Tickets/Registration

Admission is: $10 for adults; $9 for Senior Citizens and AAA members; $5 for students 6-18; and free for children 5 & under, active duty military and CNY Living History Center members.

Directions/Transportation/Parking

The CNY Living History Center is at 4386 Route 11, Cortland, NY, approximately ½ mile south of I-81 exit 12. Coming from Ithaca: take Route 13 North to Cortland then Route 281, right onto Fisher Ave, left onto Route 11 and the museum is a ¼ mile on your right. Coming from Binghamton: Take I-81 North to Exit 12 and follow Route 11 South ½ mile to the museum.
