Join Linden Place Museum, Bristol, for a “daycation” to historic Hartford, CT!


Need a change of scenery during this long winter? Join the Linden Place Museum Community and Travelinque on a fun-filled motor coach trip to HISTORIC HARTFORD AND COLT’S CONNECTICUT on Sat, April 5th.

Enjoy guided visits to Wadsworth Athenaeum, the Colt Memorial, and the Harriett Beecher Stowe House. This motor coach trip also features a narrated driving tour with step-on guide, Katrina White, formerly of the Rhode Island Department of Tourism. White will point out many Colt related buildings in the Colt Historic District including “Armsmear” the mansion built by gun inventor Samuel P. Colt.  Samuel Colt’s nephew, also named Samuel P. Colt, owned and lived at Linden Place and was the grandson of George DeWolf, who built Linden Place.


Included is a boxed lunch at Wadsworth Athenaeum, a musical dinner program at the Mystic Hilton featuring traditional sear faring songs, and round-trip transportation from Bristol.

Friends of Linden Place is a non-profit organization responsible for the restoration and preservation of the historic house museum at 500 Hope Street in Bristol, Rhode Island, and for the promotion of cultural, artistic, and educational programs in the community. The mansion and grounds are open to the public from May to October, during the holiday season, and also by appointment.
