Old Sturbridge Village celebrates the birth of our nation on July 4 with a full day of festivities, including a patriotic citizens' procession, a reading of the Declaration of Independence (guests can even sign their "John Hancocks" on a giant reproduction of the document), 1830s-style “base-ball,” as well as OSV’s other regular activities. After daytime celebrations conclude, the Village reopens for evening festivities, with music, magic, juggling and family-friendly games. Food and beverages, including beer and wine, are available for purchase. The evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over the OSV Countryside.
