Crescendo Productions, LLC

Immerse yourself in the fascinating history behind the beverages that fueled our founding fathers! Colonial New Englanders were prolific imbibers, drinking roughly three times as much alcohol as modern Americans. Drinking was not only a means of physical and emotional survival but also the driving force behind the growing popularity of taverns that played a vital role in colonial political and social life.
Join us at the Museum of Bad Art at Dorchester Brewing Company for a “spirited” introduction to the drinking habits of colonial New Englanders and see why the Greene and Delaware Moral Society proclaimed in 1815 that we have become "a nation of drunkards." View paintings with a colonial "twist” from the collection of the Museum of Bad Art and be treated to one tankard of craft ale while the raucous and rakish Ambrose Gosling entertains you 1776-style with songs and his concertina. He might just offer you a pinch of George III’s snuff. Huzzah!
