Join us for an evening at The Mary Baker Eddy Library!Enjoy refreshments and visit the Mapparium. At 6:30 p.m. Arthur Bright of The Christian Science Monitor will give a fifteen-minute pre-talk, explaining the background and significance of World War I as it relates to the world portrayed in the Mapparium.

The panel discussion begins at 7:00 p.m. (also available online via live webcast)

Panelists discussing the religious implications of World War 1 include Dr. Jonathan Ebel, author of Faith in the Fight: Religion and the American Soldier in the Great War; Judy Huenneke, Senior Research Archivist at The Mary Baker Eddy Library; and Christian Harder of The Herald of Christian Science, French and German editions. As a complement to the program, Dr. Ryan Vigil will conduct a men’s chorus in singing hymns from a songbook created for soldiers serving in the war.
