About the Exhibition:
In 1825, The Connecticut Historical Society was founded to preserve history for future generations. What began as the first historical organization in the state has evolved over time to reflect the varied cultural influences and to serve the many communities living within it. Today, it is known as a the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History, and its impact extends far beyond its walls at One Elizabeth Street in Hartford. Through objects and insight from the Museum collection, learn about the founding of the Museum and how it has grown through the years.
