Andover Center for History & Culture
Get “up close and personal” with people from Andover’s history. In Close Encounters, you’ll hear about people who lived, worked, ran businesses and raised families in our community. We’ll share their stories through photos, letters, diaries, objects and clothing from our collection. You’ll get to hold their personal history in your hands!
Get to know two Andover women – Abby Locke Thomson and June Carmichael Fitzgerald. One wore hoop skirts; the other joined the WAVES.
Close Encounters is a small group setting limited to 10 guests. Please register at http://andoverhistoryandculture.org/close-encounters
As a special for February school vacation, Director of Programs, Lauren Kosky-Stamm will have craft activities for elementary school-aged children. You will be able to attend Close Encounters while your children or grandchildren are happily engaged in a hands-on program of their own.
