After writing an article about the Saturday Evening Girls Club and their pottery for Boston Home magazine, Jane Healey was so enthralled with this piece of Boston's history that she wrote a novel! And we are glad she did!
Set in the early 1900's, Jane's novel follows the lives of 4 young immigrant women living in Boston's North End-where traditions are followed. Each of these girls belongs to a social pottery-making group at the Saturday Evening Girls Club. Through their unfailing bond, each of the girls face family clashes and romantic entanglements-yet still find the strength to transform their lives.
Please join us for an evening with Jane and learn more about the history of the Saturday Evening Girls Club! Jane will bring books to sell and sign if interested.
