Not only was Alvah Crocker one of Fitchburg's most important citizens and business innovators, he was also central to the railroading history of Massachusetts and New England.
Learn about Alvah Crocker's work to take the Hoosac Tunnel from dream to reality, while making engineering history. Cliff Schexnayder has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and has solved many historical mysteries dealing with construction and engineering. His newest book is Builders of the Hoosac Tunnel.
