Norfolk County Register of Deeds, William O’Donnell, will speak about ongoing and future research projects at the Registry, including the recently completed undertaking to transcribe handwritten documents dating from 1793-1900, and the Registry’s ongoing and future research projects after the successful booklet celebrating the 225th Anniversary of Norfolk County (2018). This will be a wonderful opportunity to hear about important and informative documents relating to the people, politics, and residences that comprise Norfolk County’s history; Dedham has been the seat of Norfolk County since 1793. Members of Register O’Donnell’s staff will be available with computers and printers to provide guests with a copy of their deeds, information about the Homestead Act, and more.

The lecture will be held at the Dedham Historical Society & Museum, 612 High Street, Dedham. For information, call DHSM at 781.326.1385 or visit www.dedhamhistorical.org
