Wade House Christmas

Guests will experience the magic of a mid-19th-century Christmas celebration at the Wade House stagecoach hotel during December 2-3 as well as December 9-10. Yankee and German holiday traditions, including rooms bedecked with fresh evergreen garlands, period crafts and games for young and old, stories from yesteryear and horse-drawn wagon rides will make for a memorable experience.

On Saturday, Dec. 2nd ONLY, Wade House will celebrate the 150th wedding anniversary of Althea and Hollis Wade by re-enacting their December 25th, 1867 wedding.  The wedding ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. in the ladies' parlor of the Wade House Stagecoach Inn.

The festivities continue in the new Wade House Visitor Center and Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, where seasonal decor, live music and gingerbread cookies will help to spread holiday cheer.
