A Ray of Light : The Joel Lane Museum House Kitchen

The “kitchen building” on the Joel Lane Museum House property, while interpreted as
such, has a more complex past than one might think. It was, in fact, never a kitchen, but
rather a home occupied by several families since its construction in the 1790s.
Jack Paynter, former staff docent at the Joel Lane House, will discuss where the
“kitchen” came from, the families who lived there, and how it made its way to the Joel
Lane House.
