Step back in time to the 1940s Golden Age of Hollywood with stunning views of Boston's historic skyline.

History At Play™ invites attendees to walk the red carpet and immerse themselves in art, theatre, fashion, & dance. A 1940s Golden Age Gala-- featuring Boston's best artists, and DJs aboard and alongside Nantucket Lightship/LV-112; a designated United States' National Historic Landmark. Revelers will be immersed in Boston's beauty and an effervescent view of the city skyline from the East Boston Marina. Nantucket Lightship/LV-112 never leaves the dock, so there is no chance of "missing the boat!" Come early and stay late!

Experience your favorite musicians & performers. Tour the designated National Historic Landmark Nantucket Lightship/LV-112 with an experienced docent. Enjoy an Immersive Living History performance, chronicling the life of Hedy Lamarr. A fusion of Big Band,1940s, & House music will grace your ears and vibe your soul. Shop local artisans and consigner fashion. Come dressed for the era! This is an all ages, family-friendly event.

-7:30pm - 8:30pm- History At Play™, LLC presents Tinseltown Inventor Hedy Lamarr™; an Immersive Living History Experience (featuring Judith Kalaora)
-8:30pm - 10pm- DJ Adam Gibbons (Listen on Soundcloud)
-Tours of Nantucket Lighsthip/LV-112 are conducted by request at 6pm, 7pm, 9pm.

 

Important: Wear proper footwear (i.e. Rubber-soled, closed toe shoes). There are trip hazards. To tour the Nantucket Lightship, you must climb a steep ramp. To enjoy views from the top decks, there are ladders. There will be limited chairs available for seating on the barge. We recommend BYOC ("Bring your own chair") (especially for the performance). Lawn/beach chairs suggested. Parking is limited. We will have a limited number of parking passes available for mobility impaired/elder attendees. There is free street parking in the neighborhood (read posted signs). You may also valet your vehicle at Tall Ship, which is a 15-minute walk from Nantucket Lightship/LV-112. Water Taxis are available from Downtown Boston. Visit Boston Water Taxi to reserve. Carpool and rideshare recommended. Neither History At Play™, LLC, nor Nantucket Lightship/LV-112, shall be held responsible for any injury incurred as a result of event attendance.
