The presentation will focus on events from 1st Bull Run to Gettysburg and 2nd NH, with an emphasis on Colonel Bailey and Captain Roberts, including an in depth presentation on the 2nd NH's experience at the Peach Orchard during McLaws en echelon attack.
Paul Timmerman will touch on the real highwater mark at Gettysburg, as he calls it - "Barksdale's attack.."
A retired healthcare software professional, Paul Timmerman is a member the Woodman Museum Board, President and Captain of the 1st NH Regiment (Rev War), and Committee Chair of the 250th Raid on Fort William and Mary.
A Civil War historian, reenactor and amatuer guide of over 22 years, Paul has reenacted on many of the actual Civil War battlefields where reenactments are allowed.
Although he has 16 of 18 original NH regimental histories, he's developed a particular interest in the 2nd NH, 6th NH and 11th NH and men who served with these regiments.
This night he'll share with us!
