With only holiday lights and candlelight, take a guided tour through this mid-19th century farmhouse, decorated as it would have been during the 1940s, when the last three generations of the Coley family occupied the home. View authentic 1930s and 1940s holiday decorations. Learn how World War II impacted holiday celebrations in America. Taste wartime Holiday ration recipes, and listen to original radio broadcasts featuring Bing Crosby and Judy Garland, all by candlelight.
Guided tours at 6pm & 7:30pm on December 20, 21 & 22, 2024 at Weston History & Culture Center, 104 Weston Rd. Weston, CT. Tickets: $15: members, $25: non-members. Limited space on each tour, advanced tickets required. Purchase tickets at: https://westoncthistory.org.
Parking and entrance accessed from High Acre Rd. Tour begins in the Visitor’s Center, red building adjacent to parking lot. In the event of inclement weather, attendees will be notified.
